NCATE Accreditation
The Master of Science in Education Degree Program at Metropolitan College of New York is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), 2010 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036; phone (202) 466-7496. This accreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs and/or advanced educator preparation programs. NCATE is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to accredit programs for the preparation of teachers and other professional school personnel.
The Master of Science in Education Program at Metropolitan College of New York is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation for Teacher Education (NCATE), www.ncate.org. This accreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs at 431 Canal Street, New York 10013. However, the accreditation does not include education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, relicensure, or other purposes.
